A Splash of Color, My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Club 217

Hi there friends. Well, I seem to be a posting fool today, but I'm having a lot of fun doing it. When I saw the sketch for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Club 217 (MFTWSC217), I knew I had to get on it right away. The sketch oozes coolness. You might think what's the big deal about 5 banners? You can play hard, fast and loose with the interpretation and I have about 10 other stamp sets on my floor ready to be used for this and one is so genius, at least in my mind, that I wrote it out. You can do anything with this sketch and I did. 

I do have a video for you since I created a cheater's 4-bar card and I'm going to show you how to do it as well. I haven't edited the video yet since I made another card for this challenge and I have some enamel accents drying right now. I've mixed and matched stamp sets and Blueprints and have come out with some very fun cards that I think you will like, so be sure to stop back by often because like I said, I'm going to have some fun.

Here are my first two cards for you. I also completed the inside too. What a blast of color and I picked the perfect stamp to do this. This is clean, simple and incredibly graphic. 

As I was editing the video, it's less than 20 minutes. Yay! I honestly think I could have had it down to 15 minutes if I had more space on my desk. Unfortunately, the "real" video stopped a few minutes in and just froze so I used the first video where I made all of the mistakes. I used foam tape to adhere the front to the card base and the pictures above show the inside of the card.

All products used are My Favorite Things unless otherwise stated.

Nahum 1:7

  Cut a piece of white card stock to 5 x 7-1/2. 

 Score the white card stock at 3-3/4 and fold back on itself to burnish with your bone folder as shown in the video. 

Cut the large stitched rectangle using My Favorite Things Blueprints 20. If you do not have this Blueprint, cut card stock to 4-7/8 x 3-5/8.
