A Couple of Mambos

I am a glutton for punishment. This is the fifth time that I'm trying out for the Clean and Simple Design Team at Splitcoast Stampers. I swore and told everybody that after 3 rejects, I'm done. I know my limits, I completely respect them, and then got talked into trying out a fourth time and now a fifth time. There are 3 positions available. Birgit is in the running so that automatically leaves 2 open. That woman's work is exquisite like nothing I've ever seen before. Every single card I've seen of hers comes nothing short of perfection. So Diane and I decided to make a pact and go for it. I am the Susan Lucci of the CAS DT. So if this is number 5, I've got 14 more rejections to go, right? I don't think so. I am very pleased with how this turned out. I love the retro/vintage feel of this card and especially my color combination. What do you think?

Anyhow, I want to share with you the card that I made for the first tryout challenge. You had to have people in it and bold ribbon with bonus points for texture. I met all 3 criteria and I certainly hope that it suffices! So, keep me in your prayers to make the design team this time around! Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look at my cards. God bless!
