Hello again my friends. Today is the day that sign-ups start for my Clean and Simple Card Class starting on April 22. The cost is only $9.99. I would love to have you join me! For more information, please read the Clean and Simple Card Class Description. Overall general information about my card classes can be found here. My monthly challenge is a day late being put up as it's usually the first Saturday of every month. I also have a couple of class preview cards to share with you that I'm sure you will enjoy. Both cards are distinctly different ranging from cute (which I don't do but pulled off), to elegant. As you can see by my preview cards below, whatever your personal style is, there is something for everybody.
Make a clean and simple card.
Make sure to use the Mr. Linky below to enter the challenge.
The challenge starts today and ends midnight April 30, 2013 PST.
The winner will be announced on my blog on May 1.
FOUR brand new stamp sets from Paper Smooches Stamps.
I only ship to the United States. If you are out of the United States, I do ask that you cover your postage as this is very cost prohibitive to me. Thank you for your understanding.
Now, onto my cards that I would like to share with you. The first card is my cute card using the Nine Lives stamp set by Paper Smooches Stamps. It's a tad on the masculine side with the colors but the sentiment clearly defines the card to be feminine as well. I felt like coloring, which is always very therapeutic to me, and experimented a bit with gray hues. The "v" cut ribbon slightly extending past the card and black pearls really complete the card. The 1/4" strip of black card stock also lends itself for an extra touch yet keeping it clean and simple.
Cats come in all colors. Experiment with different color combinations.
Change the patterned paper, ribbon and accent strip for an entirely different look. Since my alcohol marker coloring is on the white card stock, but sure to use Gina K. Designs Pure Luxury Heavy Weight card stock as the base for your card so the markers do not bleed through. This is the ONLY card stock that you can color on with alcohol-based markers without it bleeding through.
Switch the card to a portrait orientation rather than landscape or even make a 4 x 4 gift card set. With this stamp set, there's another feline in there that is smaller so you can even take it to a 3 x 3 gift set.
My next card is elegant with unusual colors for flowers. I used solid line art images stamped in various blues. My embellishments are also in the blue family. Each blue is a different color. My double bow definitely draws your eye and with the faux pearls, it's a very well balanced card. Of course, I love the scripture that I used from Our Daily Bread Designs Scripture Collection 9. This card has two panels with the second one adhered with foam tape.
Thank you so very much for stopping by to see me today and may God bless you. See you in class!
Use different fun spring colors rather than monochromatic.
Use a corner rounder punch on the edges of the top panel to soften it up a bit.
Change up or change out embellishments.
