The Cross to Cutesy

Good morning. Today I've made the first cutesy stamp card ever. I've crossed over. I had never colored a stamp from The Greeting Farm until today and have to admit I like their big heads. This Hello Ian stamp was especially attractive to me because of the possibilities of what you could do with the hat. You can paper piece the entire image too; even the hair with the right designer paper. Since I've never done people or cutesy stamps, this truly was a challenge to me to color a person with skin tones and hair.

I started coloring my hat first using only 3 reds and really debated whether or not to put black stripes through the lines of the hat, but I liked how it turned out so much that I left it alone. I don't have the deep contrast in my hair but you can see the blending. For my skin, whoever invented the Colorless 0 I'll be eternally grateful to. The rest of the card was very simple to put together with a few pieces of designer paper, a punch, journaling circle on foam dots for dimension, and I used a Dymo Labeling Machine for my sentiment. I also added a small black rhinestone at the top of Ian's hat too. Here's a card that I'd like to share with you today using a lot of my Copic markers and techniques of blending, shading, and just plain coloring. Enjoy!
