Today’s card is CASEd from page 77 of the 2018-2019 Idea Book & Catalog. I’m pretty crazy over the 2 new colors of Textured Weave Ribbon. On this card, I used Granny Apple Green. This ribbon is oh so dreamy in that it’s wonderful to work with.
I had a lot of fun experimenting with our Classic Stampin’ Pads with watercolor pencils using Blender Pens and Aqua Painters for more intense color. I love how beautifully our products play together. I like to keep life simple and this definitely works for me. I stamped my images with the same color or 1 shade darker, then used the coordinating colors to fill in the balloons. You have some serious wiggle room using this technique and the shading is fabulous.
I’m still progressing with getting my office totally together, but at least it’s a good 90% now. It’s been busy with newborn twins in the house, along with my 6 and 9-year-old grandsons; however, I wouldn’t have it any other way. The twins are getting so big that I can barely carry them both via the football hold at the same time! They’re smiling and interacting now, which is so much fun.
I intentionally used Shimmery White Card Stock rather than watercolor or Whisper White. There is some give in this card stock to where you have no piling. The subtle shimmer with the Glitter Enamel Dots really catches your eye in person.
