Paper Craft Crew Challenge 162, Grateful For You

Hello there my friends. Autumn is here today in Northern California, just a little bit, and I made the perfect card for today's Paper Craft Crew Challenge for you. We have some wonderful changes coming to our challenge in the near future. We are going to ante up to color, theme, and different challenges rather than a sketch every week. But, don't worry! We will still have sketches for you too.

Today I used 2 great new stamp sets from the Stampin' Up! 2015 Holiday Catalog of A Little Something and Acorny Thank You. I have all of the products linked below for easy shopping! Some of them may seem out of order, but I add them in the order that I make the card rather than list all of the ink pads that I use at one time, etc.

As usual, we had an awesome sketch and this card was fun to make. There are a lot of panels and I really made my Into the Woods Designer Series Paper work for me. I stamped and punched out my acorn then popped that up on some foam tape, used an Early Espresso marker to color in my Into the Woods Elements (the wooden leaf) and adhered that to the same panel. I stamped the sentiment with Early Espresso ink onto Tangelo Twist card stock and embossed that with clear embossing powder (I forgot to add clear embossing powder and my heat tool to the supply list, and probably a few other items too!) and then die-cut it out using the Banner Framelits. I added a Linen Thread nest behind the top panel that I adhered the acorn to. The flower images are my designer series paper strategically cut and adhered to the Early Espresso card stock panel as I needed a bit more of the Rich Razzleberry showing from the paper to tie in my acorn that the bottom was stamped in with the same color. The top of the acorn was stamped with Tangelo Twist ink that really ties in the sentiment banner. As you can see from the side view of my card picture, there is a lot of dimension to this card. I do love the way it all came together.

For the inside of the card, my sentiment is from Acorny Thank You and the leaves are from A Little Something, which also has a nice sentiment with acorns that you can use too. These two stamp sets compliment each other beautifully.

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit me today. I am very happy to let you know that I am using my dad's "too much for me" camera and am getting much better pictures than my iPhone. The flash was up, then went down, and now I have to figure how to get it to go back up. The joys of technology. I still have so much to learn. It even looks intimidating to me.

Please be sure to play along with us this week and don't forget to check out what the other designers made for you as well. There are some truly lovely cards that I know you will appreciate and that will definitely inspire you! I hope that you have a great day and God bless you!

  1. I think your acorn card is adorable!  The colors are so rich and vibrant, love the added dimension and texture, and you did a great job with the sketch too.  I was checking out some of your other fall card creations too, and I really like your style.  😉

    blessings,

    Christi
