Monochrome Birds & Branches

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a monochrome project created with Birds & Branches. I finally used the nest image. You will be seeing more of this bundle throughout the seasons, as it is so incredibly versatile.

I started out with an Early Espresso top-folding A2, 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 card base and cut the Crumb Cake image panel to 4 x 5-1/2. I then ran the scalloped die from Stitched Be Mine through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine at the left edge of the card. I stamped the sentiment from Here’s a Card at the top right of the image panel in Early Espresso ink.

I then stamped the large and small branches in Early Espresso ink on the image panel with Old Olive ink for the leaves. The nest was stamped with Crumb Cake ink. I used the brush of a wet Water Painter to splatter Frost White Shimmer Paint onto the image panel after I stamped the branches, leaves, and nest. The panel was adhered to the right of the card base with Seal+.

The eggs were stamped in Whisper White Craft ink and I used the Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker to add dots to the eggs. I die-cut the eggs out with the coordinating die and added a glue dot to the back of each egg. The birds were stamped onto Crumb Cake CS with Crumb Cake ink for the solid layer and Soft Suede for the overlay, then die-cut. I colored in 2 small pearls with the Dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blend Marker to use for the bird eyes. I place 4 Mini Basic Black Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of each bird to adhere to the image panel. Three small pearls were scattered about the card to embellish.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit. Have a great day and God bless.
