Make the Cards Challenge 37 ~ Halloween Witch with Frightfully Cute Bundle

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a Halloween Witch theme, #MTCC37, over at Make the Cards Challenge and hope that you join us!

This card was so simple to create, which is all I can pretty much do these days. I love the Peaceful Place Designer Series Paper, which is a monochromatic Christmas-themed DSP. I think the silver snowflakes on the DSP can easily be interpreted as a starry sky, which is how I have used this pattern so far.

This project was created with the amazing Frightfully Cute Bundle.

As always, your Supplies and Instructions, and measurements, are listed below.

I started out with an A2 landscape Crumb Cake card base and layered on the Peaceful Place DSP with Seal.

I cut the cloud Basic Borders Die into a 6 x 6 Window Sheet for a template and used that to create my Cinnamon Cider clouds with a Blending Brush. By using a 6 x 6 length, I am able to stagger the brushed clouds across the Crumb Cake CS card base to appear more natural.

I then cut 3 spider webs from Regular Very Vanilla CS and adhered them center line with the DSP, starting with the middle web first, and adhering with our Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I used my Paper Trimmer to cut off the excess CS of the side webs.

Five witch hats were cut from out Black Glitter Paper using the witch hat die from Frightful Tags Dies. I colored in 5 large Bumblebee 2020-2022 In Color Square Gems with the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend Marker and adhered to the center bottom of the hat, as shown. There is an impressed buckle in the witch hat that was there for me to line up the squares on. Black Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals were placed on the back of each witch hat and was adhered as shown.

I stamped the moon image out with Daffodil Delight ink x2 onto Regular Very Vanilla CS and then die-cut this with out smallest Layering Circle Die. I placed the moon on the card base exactly where I wanted it and stamped the flying witch image onto the moon and card base at the same time with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, making sure I had perfect coverage. The moon was adhered with Black Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment from Frightfully Cute was stamped with Memento at the top left.

Lastly, I got my Clear Wink of Stella Pen Glitter Brush and tapped/splattered the brush randomly on the completed card base to add shine to this already very textural and dimensional Halloween card.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
