Hearts & Kisses, Prettiest Birthday + Dressed to Impress “Galentine” Card & Coloring Video

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a fully loaded project with the Hearts & Kisses Bundle, Prettiest Birthday Bundle, True Love Designer Series Paper; and Dressed to Impress with the coordinating All Dressed Up Dies that carried over from the 2020 Spring Catalog to the Annual Catalog.

There is a lot of coloring, heat embossing, and die-cutting on this project.

I’m also sharing with you a VIDEO on my Stampin’ Blends coloring technique where I do not get alcohol marker smudges.

We all know I don’t do love things for obvious reasons, but will let my GFs know how much I love them. I was thrilled to see the 2 new bundles of Hearts & Kisses and Prettiest Birthday in the January – June Catalog. I knew they would pair perfectly with Dressed to Impress and All Dressed Up Dies, which stretches my minimalist stash even further. The scale of the images are more cohesive with Dressed to Impress and Hearts & Kisses. The shopping bag is from Prettiest Birthday. Tucking the bag behind the sentiment panel helps it to appear larger than it actually is. The White Powder heat embossed banner is also from Prettiest Birthday. The sentiment, lipstick, shoe, and perfume bottle is from Dressed to Impress. The lips are from Hearts & Kisses, that I used on the envelope with a coordinating sentiment below it. True Love Designer Series Paper is my favorite from this catalog. It’s all black and white patterns, which is a must-have staple in my world. I combined 2 patterns from of this DSP on today’s card using one of my go-to sketches with the panels die-cut from Stitched Rectangles. The 3 large clear sequins are from Paper Pumpkin.

As always, your shopping list and measurements are below.

I started out with my usual A2 top-folding 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 in Basic Black. I have 4 layering panels on this card starting with Melon Mambo and True Love DSP, both cut from the largest Stitched Rectangle. The other 2 panels were die-cut using the 4th largest Stitched Rectangle, measuring 2-3/4 x 4-1/8 from Petal Pink and True Love DSP. The largest panels were stagger adhered together with Seal+ and I then wrapped a length of Metallic Mesh Ribbon around the center of these 2 panels, tied into a knot at the left side, and adhered to the Basic Black card base with Tear ‘n Tape Adhesive. The Petal Pink and True Love DSP were adhered together in the same manner as above, but adhered to the card with Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The images were stamped in Smoky Slate ink onto Thick Basic White CS, colored in with Petal Pink, Melon Mambo, and Smoky Slate with Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. Be sure to leave the images on the lid of your Stamparatus to re-ink after coloring with Memento Tuxedo Black to re-define the line art in black AFTER you color with Stampin’ Blends.

The top Melon Mambo CS banner was stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with White Powder from Prettiest Birthday with the shopping bag coloring in Stampin’ Blends.

The key to making this multi-dimensional card work is making sure that everything you adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals is even with the layers, so when you turn it to the side, as below, you don’t have any lumps or bumps.

This is such a girly card that your lady friends would love to receive and the color possibilities are endless. Remember your single women GFs on this dreaded “holiday.” We are still trying to recover from Christmas and New Year’s.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit. Have a great day and God bless.
