Happiness is Homemade

I have broken the first and foremost crafting cardinal rule. A rule that's known, yet unspoken with true creative artists. I am so ashamed for what I did; I ventured over to the "other side" to make this card. I did not create one single thing on this card. Each and every item used was pre-made for me. I cut the paper and tied the bow. That's all that I did. I did not enjoy this. The saddest part about this card is that I could submit it to a couple of magazines and they'd publish it! I thought that I would give this pre-made materials, no creativity thing a shot, and didn't like it a bit. This will be the first and last type of card that you see from me doing this. There's zero creativity put into this and all I did was arrange the pre-made items on the card, and I had the sketch provided me as well! A kindergartner could do this and I think they still do in school. Off of my soapbox now so that I can introduce you to our challenge today.

Today is The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge 65. There's a spin to it and that is to use a tag. Korin always gives us an innovative sketch to work with and I think that I'll make a real card at a later date with this sketch. You can always go back through the sketches to use them at any time. Let's see your creativity flow with this sketch! And no pre-made stuff! God bless and have a fabulous day. Thank you for playing along with us!

  1. oh don't be so hard on yourself girl. we all make "cheater" cards at least once!! when i use "pre-made" items it takes longer to make my card!!  🙂 it is a fantastic card.  and that sentiment is perfect for my house! lol

  2. Haha Cindy you are so funny BUT I LOVE the way this card turned out!! I say good for you in using the paper effectively!!! LOL  I love this paper ~ such pretty colors and how you used it for the sketch is brilliant!! Love the button!!

  3. well,  all I can say is I love brown and this SU soft suede is one of my top faves this year!  I LOVE October Afternoon,  so of course your card is a hit! I'm w/the gal that said these kind of cards take me longer,  but everything w/pattern paper takes me longer! lol  I say I'm pattern paper craft-dicapped!!!  I keep pluggin' away though! lol Always love the challenge!
