God is a Quilter

Hi everybody and happy Monday! Today I've made a card for you using the Clean and Simple Stamping Blog, Fall to Layout 174 (FTL174) sketch challenge design team work. We always have a great sketch and this sketch is no different. I really got out of my box with his card with it's size, die-cutting, stamping, and making my own ribbon spool and wrapping ruler cotton fabric around it then securing it with 2 white glass head pins. I also drew around the stitched flowers in the background stamped in white with a gray marker for definition. I found a piece of die-cut black card stock in my stash and adhered it to the top of the Kraft card stock to ground the black for balance. I am very happy with how this card turned out and hope you are too and that it provides you with some inspiration. For my envelope, I used the same stamp that I used on the Kraft card stock and stamped it onto my envelope using Crumb Cake ink, which is very subtle and neutral, and the any writing for the return address and address to the recipient can easily be seen. It's very cool.

I also received a comment on this card from a challenge that's new to me called Word Art Wednesday and the only requirement is to use scripture or an encouraging sentiment on your card, so I think that this also falls under their challenge guidelines, so I'm submitting it, for Word Art Wednesday Challenge #12. I will have to email the blog owner for a keyword.

Here's my card that I'd like so share with you and I pray you have a very blessed day. Today's Treasured: Deuteronomy 4:29. I love that verse!

  2. Hi Cindy.  I just found your blog today, and I'm SO glad I did – it's beautiful.  Your art is also beautiful, and I'm really enjoying looking through your blog. I would like to invite you to join in the fun at Word Art Wednesday (wordartwednesday.blogspot.com) since I see you do use scripture on your work, and we only ever have ONE requirement for our challenges – that you use scripture or an encouraging sentiment on your entries. Your beautiful use of scripture would be so perfect, and I hope you will play along.  We have a new challenge each Wednesday, as well as a blog hop coming up on February 9.  We would really love to have you join us.
Also, I would like to invite you to stop by my blog and say hello.  And if you like my blog, and would like to become a follower there, I would be thrilled to also follow you if you don't mind my doing so.  I really look forward to seeing more of your gorgeous work, Cindy.  Im so glad I found your blog.
Take care, and God bless you!
