Good morning. We have 2 inches of snow on the ground! Today is Day 7 at Christian Paper Crafts 12 Days of Christmas. Yesterday was Day 6 showcasing candy jars. Today our theme is Kids Cards and these are clean and simple cards that you can make with your kids or they can make for their friends. We're using the Taylored Expressions Kid's Holiday Card Kit, which is just perfect for this. The kit retails for $9.95 and you will have to purchase the stamp set separately. We used Season's Sweetings for our stamp set. The kit comes loaded with card stock, designer paper, ribbon, and embellishments, packaged in an adorable lunchbox! A tip sheet comes with the kit too! There's a ton of fun possibilities and variations to use with this kit.
The first two cards I'm showing you are cards that my daughter, Bailey, who is 12 years old, made by herself without any help from me. The last card, Bailey and I made together, only in the sense that I showed her how to use Copic markers on her image. My colored cupcake was a teaching example to her and she colored the other cupcake completely on her own with no help from me, and this was her first time using Copic markers. I showed her how to "flick" using the markers and her blending was superb for a first timer! Can you tell which image I colored and which image Bailey colored? It's very hard!
