Candy Corn Wreath ~ Taylored Expressions October Blast From the Past Blog Hop

Good morning friends. Today is the Taylored Expressions October Blast From the Past Blog Hop! I made a Halloween card and really wanted to use all of the adorable stamp sets that have come out over the past few releases, but the rules of the blog hop are that the stamp set that you use has to be more than three months old. I wanted to make something Halloween and don't have any sets from last year, so i really had to put that thinking cap on – and then it came to me! I used the Spring Wreath and made a Candy Corn wreath instead. I colored the egg shapes the colors of candy corn and used clear glitter for the white part. I used Copic markers to color the wreath and finally got smart and put all of my glitter in a small container with a spoon to apply it and used a Quickie Glue Pen to color where I was going to adhere the glitter. It's a life saver. With Taylored Expressions die-cuts, I stamp the image first and then use the plastic tool to line it up and die-cut it with. It works like a charm. I thought that it was pretty ingenious to use a spring wreath to make a Halloween wreath. What do you think? I hope you like my card. I used Making Memories Spook Alley for my designer paper, some Stampin' Up 1-1/4" black and cream striped grosgrain ribbon and some orange rhinestones adhered to my Papertrey Ink Vintage Cream using their Medium Scallop Die-cut. I mounted the image panel using foam tape for dimension and I'm very happy with the way that my card turned out. I'm just so proud of myself for thinking to use Easter eggs for candy corn!

Below are pictures of my card that I'd like to share with you and under that will be a supply list of the products that I used, THEN there will be the list of the other participants in the blog hop that you will want to visit and see what they've made for you too. There's a lot of eye candy to be seen today! Thank you for stopping by to see me and God bless you!
