Blending Brushes + Heat Embossing

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a technique heavy project with our Blending Brushes and gold and white heat embossing.

I am so thrilled we have such an amazing blending tool to create any kind of background. Today I used our Blending Brushes with Petal Pink and So Saffron onto Shimmery White Cardstock. When I apply the ink to the blending brush, I pull it along the sides of the ink pad that you generally don’t hit when you apply the ink to a stamp. Once the brush is loaded, I’ll tap it off a few times on a grid sheet to see what my color is going to look like and then use a circular motion to ink blend. Again, it’s all in the wrist and the pressure you apply. I start out really light so I don’t get blotchy smudges.

This project really took no time at all. I started with an A2 top-folding 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 Smoky Slate card base. The image panel is 4 x 5-1/4 Shimmery White CS. I started ink blending at the top center of the image panel with Petal Pink with the bottom half using So Saffron.

I stamped out the leaves and flowers from Forever & Always onto Regular Basic White CS with Versamark, heat embossed with gold powder, then cut with their coordinating dies. The images were arranged on the Shimmery White CS and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A sentiment from Many Messages was stamped onto a piece of Smoky Slate CS with Versamark, heat embossed with white powder, then cut from a die in Always. The sentiment was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Elegant Faceted Gems in clear and white were scattered about the image panel.

There’s a tremendous amount of texture and dimension in this card. I hope you enjoyed today’s card.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit. Have a great day and God bless.
