Good evening. I hope that you're enjoying this day of the Lord in his peace and comfort. I know that I am. I got home about 3 a.m. last night and I'm pretty wrecked today. I'm getting too old for this kind of stuff. While my trip was very productive, I had zero social time with my friends, which will change the next time I fly back to California because then it will be for good. Since I haven't had the opportunity to get crafty for about 10 days and I'm so destroyed, making a card was the perfect thing to do. I was also getting paper withdrawals too. The Sweet Stop Sketch always puts up a great new sketch every Saturday and I wanted to make a card using this sketch. Papertrey Ink is also having their 4th anniversary party and a challenge was put up for the opportunity to co-design a stamp set with Nichole Heady (one of the owners of Papertrey Ink) that will debut in May 2011. I know my chances of actually being randomly drawn from the entrants are slim, but why not try anyways! A requirement of the challenge was to use a digital download of the 2011 Anniversary Tags created by members of their design team. I chose the tag Alli Miles' flower to use on my card. I wanted to make a new friend that I met while in California the perfect thank you card because she really walked me through the home buying process and was instrumental in helping the purchase of the new home.
Thank you for stopping by today to see me and God bless you. I think I'm off for a very early evening.
Unfortunately, these pictures do not do this beautiful card justice. I still haven't taken any photograph classes, read the manual that came along with the camera, and I've never had any success photographing purple.
This is beautiful. I love all the purple and sweet button accents. 🙂
SO so pretty! I like how you used glitter along the lines of the flower too.
Gorgeous, Cindy! Love that pretty flower! Hope you are able to rest up after your trip!!
Love this. Thanks so much for joining us this week at The Sweet Stop!!
This is so pretty! Love the colour you used to do that beautiful flower!
