I’m also going to chat just a little bit about shopping. I’m a total minimalist and have learned what I must have on hand for my personal goals, vision, and extreme dislike of clutter. I really should do a video on this and I know I keep saying that. I’m just too chicken to do a Facebook Live, which would be a lot easier than filming a video, editing + voiceover.
I do have several proven key ideas that have absolutely been my reality for the past few years as a minimalist.
The best I can articulate my personal shopping and what I have on board in the studio is more along the lines of always having the staples of black and white DSP, the usual basics of ink, paper, and stamps; however, all of this must be chosen wisely.
I make sure that everything I use is multi-purpose, just like what I have in my 907 sf cottage. Every piece I own must have storage. I have only what I need and no excess.
I pay very close attention to bundles and suite collections that are multi-purpose and multi-seasonal. For instance, in our card below, I used the little bat die from Seasonal Swirls, which is part of a bundle.
One of our most stunning suite collections this year is Peaceful Place. I only have the designer series paper due to the versatility, patterns, and monochromatic trend-on style. One piece of DSP is gray with silver embossed “snowflakes” that is also the perfect starry Halloween night paper. I pay attention to those little details to use what I have and make what I have work.
That’s how I mix and match our products and how Stampin’ Up! works. Everything beautifully coordinates across the catalogs, seasonal publications, kits, and Sale-A-Bration.

I did use slightly different card base measurements with this one, and, as always, everything you need is below, for Supplies, Instructions, and measurements.
The weather has been so different lately and it was difficult to capture a good picture.
So … I started out with a top-folding Basic White Thick card base and adhered the Gorgeous Grape Brights DSP with Seal. I cut 3 fences from the Frightful Tags Dies from Granny Apple Green CS and adhered these above the DSP with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The Black Glitter Paper bat was also die-cut from Frightful Tags Dies and adhered to the card base with a Mini Glue Dot.
I used the Cat punch from Black Glitter Paper and adhered this to the left on the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The ghost was punched from the Halloween Punch from Basic White Thick with the little face stamped in Granny Apple Green and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The pumpkin was stamped in Pumpkin Pie with the face image in Memento Tuxedo Black, punched out, and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The sentiment was stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink.
I scattered about 7 of our Cute Stars Adhesive-Backed Sequins to embellish. This is a simple stamping and punching card that any child would love.
