SUOC #323 | CASE the Spring Mini on Page 22

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge #323 where our challenge today is to CASE or Copy and Share Everything, from page 22 of the Spring Mini. I used the top left tag for inspiration in my color choices and flipped the sketch.

I brought in our retired Paper Crimper. This is a staple and essential tool for me, so I kept it. I also brought in gold thread to create a small thread nest.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.

I started out with my Basic White Thick CS base and cut a piece of Coastal Cabana to 4-1/4 x 11. I ran the Coastal Cabana CS through the crimper in its entirety.

I adhered Tear & Tape to the Basic White Thick CS base and used the L-corner of my Stamparatus to adhere the crimped Coastal Cabana CS. The excess was cut off with my Paper Trimmer.

The reason why I did this is because the crimper leaves a mountain and valley pattern and uses more paper doing so. If I had cut the Coastal Cabana CS to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2, I would have come up short after crimping the paper.

Tear & Tape was used to not break down the paper more after crimping and for lack of a better term, squishing the texture out.

The sentiment panel was cut to size and stamped in Bermuda Bay ink that was adhered to the upper third of the card base with liquid adhesive.

I then went about stamping my 3 large tropical leaf images.

  1. Stamped leaf in Versamark ink onto So Saffron CS and emboss with white powder.
  2. Stamped leaf with So Saffron ink onto Basic White Regular CS using Daffodil Delight for the veins of the leaf.
  3. Stamped leaf with Mint Macaron ink onto Basic White Regular CS using Coastal Cabana for the veins of the leaf.

All of the leaves were punched out with the coordinating Tropical Leaf punch.

Leaf #1 was adhered to the card base with liquid adhesive.

Leaf #2 was adhered with liquid adhesive and I used my Bone Folder to curl the end of the leaf.

Leaf #3 was adhered with liquid adhesive at the top and Stampin’ Dimensionals at the bottom.

For final assembly, the thread nest was adhered with a Mini Glue Dot.

I tied a small bow from Soft Sea Foam Seam Binding Ribbon and adhered that to the top of the Thread Nest with a little bit of Tear & Tape.

Three Pool Party Glossy Dots were scattered about the card front to embellish.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions. Be sure to join us over at the challenge!

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
