SUOC 279: Designer’s Choice

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a card created with the stunning Expressions in Ink Suite Collection for our Designer’s Choice challenge, #SUOC279, over at SUOChallenges, and hope that you join us.

I have incorporated in the Scalloped Contours Dies for a background mat and the sentiment frame with mat. The Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper is currently out-of-stock, so I created my own by stamping the large free-standing image from Artistically Inked onto Basic White Regular in Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen, then cut out from the large leafy die from Artistic.

This project is pretty loaded up, but not overloaded, with a lot of texture and dimension. As always, your Supplies and Instructions are below.

I started out with a landscape Blushing Bride card base and started stamping and cutting away to build this up by layers. I cut the DSP panels and frames first of the Fresh Freesia gingham print with the So Saffron mats and sentiment panel from the Scalloped Contoured Dies.

I adhered the gingham print with Seal and then tied a length of Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding around the center of the card as shown, tied into a bow at the far right. The large scallop cut from So Saffron 6 x 6 DSP was also adhered with Seal.

I stamped the large image from Artistically Inked several times onto Basic White Regular CS in Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen, and then cut 2 of each color out with the large stand-alone leaf die from Artistic. I did snip these apart to customize adhering them around the frame mat with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive with Evening Evergreen on the right and left sides, and Soft Succulent at the top and bottom.

I stamped the largest flower from Artistically Inked in Fresh Freesia with a small bud in the same color. The stamen in the large flower was stamped in So Saffron several times with the dotted image. A medium-size flower and small bud were stamped in Polished Pink. All of the flowers were cut with their coordinating dies.

I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of all of the flowers and arranged the sentiment mats to plan out where I wanted everything to be adhered. The sentiment panels were adhered with liquid adhesive and I added a Evening Evergreen 2021-2023 In Color Jewel to the left of the sentiment.

I then adhered the flowers at the upper left and bottom right and placed Polished Pink jewels as the stamen of the flowers, a Fresh Freesia jewel on the small bud on the bottom right, with 3 large Pale Papaya jewels in the center of the large Fresh Freesia flower.

Pale Papaya is an incredibly versatile color and coordinated beautifully with So Saffron. Petal Pink is also extremely color-friendly with the ability to morph into a pink, red, or orange.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
