Make the Cards Sketch Challenge 41 with Harvest Meadow Suite Collection

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Make the Cards Challenge 41, #MTCC41, where we have a sketch challenge for you today and hope that you join us!

I used the fabulous autumnal Harvest Meadow Suite Collection incorporating our Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon and Elegant Faceted Gems to embellish.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, with measurements, are below.

I started out with an A2 top-folding Misty Moonlight card base and layered a piece of Basic White Regular and Misty Moonlight DSP cut with the large scallop die from Scalloped Contours Dies with a piece of Basic White Regular adhered under that for a total of a length of 5-1/2″, all of which was adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I used Seal to adhere the entire panel to the card base.

I cut the left long stand-alone die sprig from the Harvest Dies and Bumblebee Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper and adhered this down with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I stamped the large coneflower image in Calypso Coral and smaller floral image in Soft Succulent onto Basic White Regular CS, then cut with their coordinating dies from Harvest Dies.

I then die-cut the circles from Layering Circles in the order and colors described below in the Instructions, steps 4-6. I adhered the Calypso Coral and Soft Succulent stamped images to the back of the Misty Moonlight circle with Mini Black Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered the same Dimensionals to the back of the floral images to keep the sketch even. Before I permanently adhered the florals down, I lined everything up on the card front to see exactly where I wanted to placed my Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon and secured that around the card base front with Scotch Tape under the sentiment circle. At this point in time, the cheater’s bow has not been tied.

I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of Basic White CS that was die-cut from a Layering Circle, that was matted onto a scalloped Layering Circle with liquid adhesive. The sentiment panel and mat was adhered to the Misty Moonlight Layering Circle mat with Black Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, as shown below.

Once I had all of my elements adhered, I cut a length of Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon and tied a cheater’s bow at the right of the card.

I further embellished the card front with our Elegant Faceted Gems in Petal Pink, which looks more like a champagne color. The 3 most embellishing items that I’ve had to get more than once with the Annual Catalog is the Elegant Faceted Gems, Linen Thread, and Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack, for the black and white Baker’s Twine.

For the inside of the card, I used the leftover DSP cut from the card front to adhere to the image/sentiment mat. The coneflower image was stamped in Soft Succulent with the sentiment in Calypso Coral + 1 large Elegant Faceted Gem in Petal Pink to embellish.

Please share with me in the comments a link to what you have created with this great suite collection.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
