Simple Stamping with Trimming the Tree + Debossing vs Embossing

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a clean and simple stamping Christmas card featuring Trimming the Tree in the Annual Catalog + a returning favorite of Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper, and bringing in several new products from the 2022 Holiday Catalog.

I do wish the Painted Seasons stamp set that coordinates with Painted Christmas Designer Paper would have returned. I loved that stamp set.

This was so easy to make and I’m kicking this around to be one of my personal Christmas cards.

I started out with an A2 top-folding Crumb Cake CS base and cut a piece of Crumb Cake CS to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2.

I ran the Crumb Cake panel through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine in the Whimsical Woodland EF.

To explain the difference between using the embossed or debossed side … the embossed side usually has the patterned raised on the CS whereas the debossed has more indentations. Clear as mud?

For this card, I used the debossed side of the Crumb Cake/Whimsical Woodland panel and adhered it to the card base with liquid adhesive.

I cut my Basic White Regular CS panel and Painted Seasons DSP to size + the bannered CS on the top right.

I grabbed a Textural Element and placed it where I wanted it on the image panel to gauge where the sentiment should be stamped from Trimming the Tree, that was laid down in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

For final assembly, I used liquid adhesive to secure the image panel to the image mat.

I glued the banner under the entire image panel at the top right, as shown.

The wood Textural Element was adhered with our fine Tip Glue Pen.

A red adhesive-backed pearl was adhered at the upper left of the Textural Element.

The image panel was adhered to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
