Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge #381 | Designer’s Choice | Inlay Technique

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge #381, where we have a Designer’s Choice Challenge and hope that you join us!

I am featuring the Spooky Sweet Suite Collection from our new Online Exclusives again today, which has been so much fun to work with.

In last week’s video featuring this suite collection, I mentioned that I especially hang onto foil and glimmer paper, despite the fact of retiring, because they always come back around. For this card, Black Glimmer and Granny Apple Green Foil were used for the spooky house and bats.

As always, basic and project specific supplies are below.

I started out with an A2 Basic White Thick card base and cut a piece of Basic Black CS and Highland Heather DSP from the 2025-2026 Subtles Collection.

I adhered the Basic Black CS and the DSP together with liquid adhesive.

Next, I cut a piece of Vellum CS, punched the bottom from Elegant Edge, stamped the sentiment from Spooky Halloween atop of the Vellum CS in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, added WOW Basics Clear Embossing Powder, then heat set. I then used a retired Stapler to attach the sentiment to the adhered panels, that was then adhered to the card base with liquid adhesive.

The house was cut from retired Basic Black Glimmer Paper. I die-cut the house out again from our Silver Textured Adhesive Paper and set the silver pieces aside to inlay into the house upon assembly. Pumpkin Pie CS for the inlays would have looked fantastic with this. Options.

I cut the bats from retired Granny Apple Green Foil CS.

For final assembly, I adhered the black glimmer house to the card with Tear & Tape and took the die-cut pieces from the silver house that were ever so delicately inlaid to accentuate the door and windows, scored and adhered the bats down the center of the Granny Apple Green Foil CS.

Five white Shimmer Star Foam Stickers were adhered to accentuate.
