Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge #336 | Color Challenge

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge #336 where we have a color challenge and hope that you join us!

Parakeet Party, Pumpkin Pie, and Gorgeous Grape is a fabulous autumnal palette. In color challenges, neutrals of white, cream, crumb, with grays and blacks are always a given. Surprisingly, there is no white on today’s project, which was super easy to make and colorful. I’ve been using stencils and Blending Brushes a lot lately for added texture, and have been pretty hooked on the herringbone pattern in Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks. I also brought in the Exposed Brick EF and those cute little Glow-In-The-Dark Bats & Ghosts.

I also created a little adorable treat bag from Tricks & Treats Dies to compliment the Halloween card.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.

I started out with my Basic Gray CS and stenciled on Basic Gray ink with a Blending Brush. I used the herringbone pattern from Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks that coordinates perfectly with the bat pattern designer series paper from Them Bones. I do plan on using a White Gel Pen to draw in the eyes and mouth on the card base stencil.

I cut and embossed my card stock to size and went about assembling the card. I adhered the Basic Gray CS to the Smoky Slate CS and then used liquid adhesive to adhere the embossed CS. Stampin’ Dimensionals were used to adhere the entire panel to the card base.

I stamped the haunted house image and sentiment from Tricks & Treats onto Smoky Slate CS with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut from the largest Layering Circles Die. This panel was adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Two bats and 1 ghost Glow-in-The-Dark Bats & Ghosts were used to embellish.

This bag was cut from the Tricks & Treats Dies and assembles easily. You will have to cut 2 and watch your pattern. I stamped the haunted house in Gorgeous Grape, the sentiment in Pumpkin Pie, and the stars in Parakeet Party. This was also cut using the largest circle from Layering Circles Dies and adhered to the bag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The tissue paper is from a Paper Pumpkin Kit that I always save for occasions like this.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
