Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a throwback where I am featuring the Sale-A-Bration retired Be Dazzling 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper as a backdrop for the penguins.
I don’t usually do cute, but this would be a darling Christmas card for a tween.
I brought in several different die sets to help me pull my vision together. As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, with measurements, are below.
I started out with an A2 landscape Crumb Cake card base and layered a piece of Beauty of the Earth DSP with Seal. I cut a large scallop from Crumb Cake CS using the Scalloped Contours Dies and stamped the sentiment from Penguin Place at the top center with Misty Moonlight ink.
I started to stamp and die-cut the other elements of this card by cutting 3 Merry Merlot heart from the Baby Clothes Dies and the Merry Merlot banner from Banners Pick a Punch.
The penguins were stamped in Basic Gray. I used our Memento Tuxedo Black to re-ink the penguin head. The beaks and feet were stamped in Bumblebee with the ties and scarf in Merry Merlot ink. The penguins and the feet were punched out with their coordinating punch. Stampin’ Dimensionals were added to the back of the penguins and the feet were adhered with Mini Glue Dots.
I eyeballed where to die-cut the slope in from Cabin Dies onto the Be Dazzled DSP that was adhered to the Crumb Cake mat with liquid adhesive. I wrapped Crumb Cake Essential Baker’s Twine around the mat twice and bowed off at the left. I then adhered the penguins to the scalloped mat and the hearts with liquid adhesive.
The image panel was adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I had completely forgotten to adhere the Merry Merlot banner under the image mat, so I cheated and cut the ends off, then adhered each end under the image panel with liquid adhesive.
