Global Design Project #396 | Two-Tone Flora + Textured Floral Birthday Card

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Global Design Project #396 where the theme is to CASE the designer.

CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit

Remember that when you CASE a project you can take what you like from the design and make it your own. It might be the stamp set – the colors, the layout, the theme, the images – whatever you like that has inspired you to make a card of your own.

For my card, I used the same sketch but inlaid the circle and did a little ink blending.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.

I started out with my A2 card base and cut the image panel and vellum image panel to size.

I used an Adhesive Sheet to adhere the vellum CS to the Basic White Regular CS. I placed my Layering Circle Die atop of the image panel and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I then took the circle that was cut out and laid it on top of the card base and traced a very light circle around it with a mechanical pencil.

With leftover ink on my pink, yellow, and blue Blending Brushes, I blended them lightly over the traced circle. I treated the CS with the Embossing Buddy and stamped the sentiment within the circle using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and heat set with clear embossing powder.

My images are from Two-Tone Flora with the sentiment from the Textured Floral Bundle. I stamped the flowers and leaves in:

  1. Lemon Lolly, Daffodil Delight, Pecan Pie.
  2. Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Pecan Pie.
  3. Azure Afternoon and Blueberry Bushel.
  4. Old Olive using a Blender Pen to pull the color over to the leaves.

All of the images were cut from its coordinating die.

For final assembly, I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of all of the images and adhered around the left side of the circle cut as shown.

I tied a bow using Linen Thread and tucked it up under the lower left flower with a Mini Glue Dot.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
