Christmas Scottie Cards + DSP Sneak Peak From the New 2023 Spring Catalog

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for two fun Christmas cards created from the Christmas Scottie Bundle + a sneak peak into my new favorite and must have Country Gingham Designer Series Paper from the new 2023 Spring Catalog.

The Country Gingham Designer Series Paper is part of the Country Floral Lane Suite Collection on pages 8-11 in the 2023 Spring Catalog. This suite collection is very large with 2 stamp sets, 1 punch, 1 set of dies, 2 spools of ribbon, 300 sequins, and 2 designer series paper stacks. It’s a fantastic suite collection with fresh spring colors of Petal Pink, Sweet Sorbet, Mint Macaron, Mossy Meadow, and Balmy Blue.

For these 2 cards, I focused on Petal Pink Sweet Sorbet, and Basic Black.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are listed below per card; which are both made pretty much the same with the exception of the image panels. These projects are great for last minute fun and simple Christmas cards for the fur baby people in your life.

I started out with two A2 top-folding card bases and layered on the same size of Country Gingham Designer Series Paper in Petal Pink and Sweet Sorbet with Seal.

For the Petal Pink card; I measured, cut, embossed, and adhered the DSP to the image panel at the bottom, then ran the panel through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine in the Whimsical Woodland 3D Embossing Folder to the Basic White Regular CS only.

For the Sweet Sorbet card: I cut a tag from Celebrations Tags Dies from Petal Pink CS that was corner-rounded on the tag. I measured to cut the Basic White Regular CS panel to size + the DSP, and corner-rounded the image panel.

The sentiments were stamped in Sweet Sorbet ink onto Basic White Regular CS and punched out with the Heart Punch Pack.

I then went about stamping the dogs from Christmas Scottie onto Basic White Regular CS in Sweet Sorbet and Memento Tuxedo Black inks then punched then out with its coordinating Scottie Dog Punch.

I tied a length of 2022-2024 Sweet Sorbet In Color Baker’s Twine and tied it into a bow around the neck of the Sweet Sorbet pup.

For the black pup, I punched out a bow from Country Lane DSP from the Scottie Dog Punch.

For final assembly, Stampin’ Dimensionals were adhered to the back of both pups, the Petal Pink + Basic White Regular CS image panel, and the back of the Petal Pink CS Celebrations Tag Dies.

The image panel was adhered to the Petal Pink DSP card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The dog was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals with the heart sentiment adhered with a combination of Stampin’ Dimensionals and liquid adhesive. One large and 2 small Black Matte Dots were scattered to embellish.

I assembling the Sweet Sorbet card, the image panel was adhered to the Petal Pink tag with liquid adhesive and I stamped the snowflake image from Christmas Scottie at the top left with Sweet Sorbet ink. I looped a piece of Black & White Gingham Ribbon through the Petal Pink tag. The pup was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals onto the image tag with the sentiment adhered with a combination of Stampin’ Dimensionals and liquid adhesive. I punched out a bow from Country Gingham DSP, added a Stampin’ Dimensional to the back and adhered it to the pup. A large Sweet Sorbet Color Matte Decorate Dot was applied to the center of the now. A small Black Matte Dot was adhered to the top right of the sentiment heart.
