Quick Tip Video: How To Make Your Own Designer Series Paper Using Stampin’ Up!

Hello there! Today I have a video for you on how to make your own designer series paper. I know this is an older technique, but the industry has evolved over time to where patterned paper is a lot more intricate in design than ever before and duplicating it can be a challenge. Not this time. We are taking 2 stamp sets of Paint Play and Timeless Textures and making our own Coffee Break Designer Series Paper.

The DSP on the bottom is by Stampin’ Up! The DSP on top is by yours truly. For my swaps, I only need 2 sheets out of this DSP and absolutely cannot justify $11 for 2 pieces of paper. Of course, that’s the catalog amount and my demo discount is substantial; however, I still can’t justify it. I have everything I need on hand to make my own DSP and so do you.

I love how my DSP turned out and I think that you will too. This is such an easy technique and can be done anywhere, anytime. I plan on using 8-1/2 x 11 Whisper White to stamp the rest of what I need out. That way, I know I have an automatic 4 card fronts with that size. With 12 x 12, I would have scraps and waste, which is something I don’t want to deal with when I’m mass producing swaps. Face it; we are OCD and will keep scraps because we know we will use them one day and 5 years later, that one day hasn’t happened yet. Sound familiar? I’m becoming expertly militant with the Konmari Method of purging. It’s fabulous and the freedom from stuff is awesome. You must try it. It’s been a fantastic life game-changer for me.

There are a lot of other stamp sets that you can use to make this particular sheet of DSP. I have gone through 2 years of annual catalogs to list them out for you. These stamp sets have various images in them of dots, circles, coffee bean-type images, etc. In the Coffee Cafe stamp set, there is an image of 3 coffee beans that I could have used, but it also wasn’t in the DSP. It’s a personal preference.
