Birthday Balloons by Stampin’ Up! Party Animal Product Suite

Hello there! I hope you are doing well. With the great weather we’ve been having, I haven’t been in the craft room much. I just did not want to be inside. I have a very feminine birthday card to share with you today that I’m going to send to one of my BFF’s, whose birthday I totally forgot and feel awful about it. My GF forgets nothing when it comes to me and tries to make everything extra special since she knows I’m totally on my own and then I forget her birthday. Not good.

I’m still on my pink, gold, rose gold and black thing. I just left the black off of this card. It was so easy and fun to make. It’s another one of those 15-minute cards with a great impact. As I sit here and look at my card now while typing up this blog post, I really should have dry embossed something subtle onto the Pink Pirouette image panel. I have some dead space on the right, but I’m good with it. As crafters, I think we are too hard on ourselves a lot and it kills the creative process going for perfection rather than for fun, creative time. So I’m over it and feel good about it too.

In today’s video, that I think I lost and am looking for since it is edited and ready to upload, I am making a masculine version of this card. Do as I say in this one – not as I do. I heat embossed the sentiment directly onto the card front rather than on top of the image panel. It was an easy fix. First I did the wrong color embossing powder. Then I did the right color and still heat embossed on the card front. All I did was use the same card base that was already heat embossed, cut it down to the size of the image panel only and then adhered it to another card base, AND even with the 2nd heat embossing on the front, I ended up doing it on the wrong side of the card. AND I mess up again by adhering the image panel directly to the card front without my other layers and ended up cutting that down again! I’ll explain it in the video as I did leave just a minute of this mess. Clear as mud?

The products I used were actually quite minimal and part of the Party Animal Product Suite from the Stampin’ Up! Spring Occasions Catalog, which will end on May 31.

There’s a ton of products that are retiring on the Clearance Rack and I strongly encourage you to check out what’s on there. Once retiring products are out of stock, they are out of stock for good. You all know how I feel about investments and I am happy to let you know that many items from all 2016 releases will be carried over to the new annual catalog, and there’s new, on trend and incredibly great stamp sets in the new catalog that I’m really looking forward to designing with. If you have made a $150 purchase with me this year, you should be receiving your new catalog in the mail any day now.

Thank you so very much for stopping by to visit me today and God bless. I’ll keep hunting for the video and post it ASAP.
