Simon Says Stamp Christmas Card in April + Video

…and yes, maybe I’ve gone a little nuts. Anyhow, hello there friends! Today I have a very quick and easily mass producible Christmas card for you. The beauty of this card is that you can make them all different by the patterned paper you choose and use the same sentiment from Simon Says Stamp of Merry Christmas. The process video will show you just how easy peasy this card is to make with fabulous results for a clean and simple card with some fun embellishments. Always shop your stash first. That’s my rule of thumb.

You might look at something that think, “Wow, that is so cool and I really want it. I NEED it.” Chances are you will find something in your stash to sub in perfectly. It might take some time to find, but if you are organized, and I am, finally, right now, while de-stashing, that for this card, picking out everything was very simple. I’m learning to start with a planned sketch and an idea in your mind of what you’re after, shopping your stash, and then making it happen.

In the video, I go through my entire process with you. The video is under 15 minutes and I did it in realtime too. I know! Shocker, huh? This is just a very fun card and I don’t know why I even thought about doing a Christmas card. Sometimes you just pick out products from your arsenal and start stamping. That’s what happened here and you can never start too early for Christmas cards — yeah, you can, and this was one of them, but it’s all about having fun. I usually do not like to start until July or so. This year, I plan on making card sets to put up in my Etsy Boutique to sell, as well as my other cards. When I said that I was going minimalistic, I wasn’t kidding. So much stuff is such a burden and it really drags you down. It’s overwhelming and stifling to me. It’s too much and I don’t like that. With that being said, look for a Mama Elephant video in a few days. I’m also going to break up my Tim Holtz stuff. I put it all together and the price point is high unless you are really after everything. Most people just want a set or two. I also want it re-homed ASAP.

I think the video turned out very well and I let my pattern paper do all of the work for me. All I did was pick out the patterned paper, die-cut, emboss a sentiment, add a few embellishments, and done!

I will be entering this card into the following challenges:
