Stampin’ Up! No-Line Watercoloring Card

Hello there! I had every intention of posting this card last Sunday as promised; however, my son wanted our traditional pot of chicken chili that I make for him every weekend. The days seem to fly by so fast and the next thing I know, it’s a week later. I’ve been spending a lot of time with my son lately and since he always comes first, everything else takes a back seat.  Moose is 21 now and attends university a few miles away from me. Before I know it, he will be graduating and the kids have always been raised and lived on the premise of you have to go where the jobs are. God only knows where he will end up, so I am taking full advantage of spending as much time as possible with him before he really starts adulting and maybe moving away. My oldest daughter is coming down next weekend and Thanksgiving is at my house this year. I’m going to be tied up until the end of the month and it’s all good.

For my first no-line watercoloring card, there’s a pretty hefty supply list below. I did a lot of triple stamping down to triple stamping off to achieve the various colors that I did. The main stamp set, Picture Perfect, is awesome. So many beautiful and varied images in this set with triple layering stamps to build your color. I also used a couple of Stampin’ Write markers that are the same color as the stamp pads that are listed below to fill in a few areas that needed a little more color, such as the beak of the bird, by using the thin side of an Early Espresso Stampin’ Write marker.

I do wish I had achieved more definition at the bottom of my rose. I played around a lot with this image and was starting to feel like I was going to end up with a hot mess, so I stopped. I am definitely going to make this exact same card again and just use my stamp pads to ink up the images. I love how the neck of the bird ties in perfectly with the rose and my colors play so well together.

I am very good at keeping up with my Instagram page so there’s more usually going on over there, like storage ideas, home decor, and of course, Bella and my kids. I really need to get better at social media, mainly my Cindy B Designs Facebook Fan Page, but there is so much of it and it is extremely time consuming to me. I don’t Tweet, Periscope or whatever else is out there.

I hope you have a very happy day today and a great weekend. I have a scene card I just finished that took me all week off and on to color and put together. I think it’s off scale a little bit as I used two different stamp brands and I’m still new to scene cards. Always learning, right?

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit me today and God bless.
